As a fan of 70s/80s PUNK, I truly enjoy the insane real-life workday.
I praise the kind of day that takes my energy to intense intensity and my bodily existence well awake and well beyond the witching hour. I get so ramped on that work delivery and so intensely focused that i push/thrive on the task and forget all aspects of a normal mans ‘day’.
When these insanities are done, it’s usually 1am. Then i need to unwind. I have massive insomnia. So, I roll out the punk iPod tracks that perfectly match my intensity. Perfectly match my drive and self driven 5-hour energy (who needs liquid).
To my ultimate point here, I’ve been trying to embrace Nirvana - quasi punk. Seattle grunge was stolen from Minneapolis. Nirvana was packaged. It’s not punk, but it steals from it. Dave Groehl knows it, did a tune with Bob Mould. I don’t know. Nirvana, were they just a corporate band?
I have an idea, how about I settle in and just listen. Husker Du/Nirvana playlist shuffle.
